What is a paramedical examiner:

Paramedical examiners interview and conduct medical screenings on applicants for life, health and disability insurance. Although most work as independent contractors with evaluation companies or staffing agencies, some examiners work for themselves or in partnerships. A paramedical examiner must be skilled at taking medical histories, vital signs and blood draws.

The CPE (Paramed Mobile Examiner Certification) examination is 100% online and consists of multiple choice questions, covering a wide variety of topics, industry standards and real life scenarios. The allocated time to complete the examination is 120 minutes. All candidates are allowed two attempts to pass the examination. In case the test is failed, a candidate must wait 280 days to retake the exam.

In order to qualify to take the CPE examination, the candidate must be 18 years of age or older, show proof of completion of an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program or show proof of employment performing mobile examiner procedures or hold an LPN, RN, APN, PA or MD license.

Prior to taking the CPE examination, the candidate must complete a comprehensive online CPE review course, that helps refresh knowledge and cover all covered topics to prepare for the national certification examination. The CPE review course is 100 % online, designed to be taken at your own pace and accessible 24/7/365.
